M.O.V.E Stands for Mobilizing. Our. Votes. Everternally
"Mobilizing our voices eternally, M.O.V.E is the rhythmic heartbeat of a collective committed to decolonizing minds, amplifying silenced voices, and crafting a harmonious symphony of resistance against neocolonialism and capitalism.”
Rooted in the shared commitment to decolonize the mind, our collective, M.O.V.E (Mobilizing. Our. Voices. Eternally.), is a convergence of diverse experiences and radical theories. We stand united in questioning prevailing situations, amplifying the voices of the dispossessed, and documenting the human consequences of neocolonialism and capitalism. Through mediums like photography, video, design, print, and music, we wield our personal skills to challenge narratives and foster direct solidarity. Our forum serves as a collective participant in the realities we perceive, with the aim to actively transform the world.
THE MANIFESTO
A collective born out of the shared commitment to decolonize the mind, our collaboration is a testament to the ongoing struggle for liberation. Woven from diverse experiences and fortified by postcolonial and radical theories, we have forged a forum for revolutionary self-education, fortified by postcolonial and radical theories and woven from diverse lived experiences.
United by the intersection of our personal histories, our paths converged from London to Kinshasa, entwining in a narrative shaped by collective experiences. Each of us bears witness to the struggle against colonization, and through our practice, we endeavour to question prevailing situations, offering a platform to amplify the voices of the dispossessed. This collective stands as a collective participant in the realities we perceive. Our mission is to scrutinize, document the undocumented, and unveil the human consequences of external control and economic exploitation fostered by neocolonialism and capitalism.
Our tools for radical change are rooted in our personal skills—using the mediums of photography, video, design, print, and music. Through our work, we aim not only to challenge existing narratives but also to foster direct solidarity and mutual aid. Our motto is the decolonization of the mind, a guiding principle inspiring us to not merely understand the world but actively participate in its transformation.
